Driving Skills Challenge keenly contested at Coach & Bus Live 2009 (19 October 2009)
Competition was at an all time high at this year’s Volvo sponsored Skills Test which took place during Coach & Bus Live on 7th and 8th October. A steady stream of hopeful contestants made their way to the external area outside Hall 17 on both days of the show to have their driving skills careful scrutinised by a team of experts from Coach Displays UK. The eventual winners were Melissa Kinch of Kinch Coaches on the first day one and Simon Brook of Brookline Travel on the second.

Upbeat mood at Coach and Bus Live 2009 as show welcomes a late arrival (12 October 2009)
Last week’s Autumn show for the coach and bus industry received an overwhelming vote of confidence during its two days at the NEC. With a waiting list for stands and reports of busy exhibitors receiving plenty of enquiries for business, the organisers were really positive about the show’s impact on opportunities for next year. The show posted a pre-audited attendance figure of almost 6,000, a creditable 3% increase compared to 2007.

Industry in the spotlight for sold out show (21 September 2009)
With just two weeks remaining until Coach & Bus Live 2009 taking place at Birmingham’s NEC on 7-8 October, show director Mark Griffin is delighted to announce that the show has completely sold out. There will be 205 exhibitors taking part including all the leading vehicle manufacturers, product, service and technology related suppliers. A late surge in stand enquiries has led to a waiting list as anxious would-be exhibitors wait to see whether or not they can be squeezed on to the floor plan somewhere.

The heat is on for Coach & Bus Live’s Autumn 2009 outing (25 August 2009)
There are just six weeks remaining until Coach & Bus Live due to take place on 7-8 October at the NEC and with only 5 stands remaining it seems very likely the show will be sold out within the next couple of weeks. This along with record levels of visitor pre-registration spells out some very good news for the show – one which will boast a full complement of 200 exhibitors and a show floor packed with both interesting content and high quality visitors.

Coach & Bus Live exhibitors turn their attention to 2010 (12 June 2009)
With less than four months remaining till Coach & Bus Live taking place on 7-8 October 2009 at the NEC, Birmingham, the show’s organisers are experiencing a flurry in sales activity as exhibitors make a scramble for the last remaining stands. It would seem that many suppliers have taken the view if they remain active this year and continue to promote their products and services they will be better placed to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead in 2010 and beyond when the economy starts to recover.

VOSA pledges support for Coach & Bus Live (1 June 2009)
A key attraction for operators visiting this year’s Coach & Bus Live exhibition taking place in October at the NEC is the “Working Together” initiative, which amongst other things, will include a series of live show floor demonstrations to be presented by the Vehicle and Operator Service Agency (VOSA).

Mini and midi bus suppliers support Coach & Bus Live (1 May 2009)
Organisers of Coach & Bus Live 2009 are reporting an increased demand for exhibition space from mini and midi converters and suppliers. Amongst those companies who will be exhibiting at Birmingham’s NEC on 7 and 8 October this year are Bluebird, Mistral and CVI, along with such show regulars Q’Straint, Tawe and Unwin Safety Systems.

Successful Launch to Coach & Bus Live 2009 (1st December 2008)
The positive mood amongst suppliers in the industry was reinforced at the launch of Coach & Bus Live 2009 when over 60% of space was taken by almost 70 exhibitors. Next year’s show was launched a few weeks ago and the Organisers report very strong demand for the 2 day interactive format show.
